While learning from active college soccer coaches on the pitch, prospective high school men’s soccer prospects showcase their abilities with College Coaches Skills Camp. These prospects who are serious about continuing their soccer careers in college attend sessions allowing small group instruction from coaches and participation in scrimmaging observed by the coaches. With an 8:1 coach-to-player ratio, prospects receive individual evaluation and feedback from coaches.
Athletes can look forward to drills, instruction and soccer strategy from active coaches, who will help prospects and players walk through the process of recruiting. The ability to ask questions, learn and build relationships with coaches will help athletes attempting to make the leap to college soccer.
Functional position base training from all thirds of the pitch give athletes a chance to dive into all aspects of their position. Proper technique in passing, receiving, dribbling and shooting is coached in small group sessions. Goalkeepers receive on-the-field technical training led by goalkeeper coaches. Skills such as ball handling, diving, extension diving, distribution, and footwork are covered in the goalkeeper sessions.
Coupling the metrics with a low player-to-coach ratio, College Coaches Skills Camp sets up student athletes with a venue to elevate their game to potentially get to the next level. College Coaches Skills Camps are open to all high school players and are held in compliance with all NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III and NAIA rules.
