The College Coaches Youth Skills Camp will be held on Friday, December 29th, 2017 at Elite Volleyball Club in Plain City, Ohio. This camp is open to players currently in grades 1st-7th. The camp will allow for our staff of college coaches and current and former college players to interact with campers in an instructional environment while also giving feedback on the various skill metrics that will be measured through-out the sessions. Campers will be broken down into groups based on their grade. The camp tuition will be $85. 1st-4th grades will run from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. 4th-7th grades will run from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
As part of the event we will be offering all youth coaches and parents the opportunity to participate in a free coaching clinic that will also be put on by our staff during the event. This will provide the coaches and parents the platform to be a part of and see the drills being done with the campers.
The camp will consist of skill instruction in serving, passing, setting, and hitting. There will also be competition components implemented throughout the camp. Camp staff will train campers with drills and techniques that are currently being used at their respective universities. All work will be done in small groups or one on one and will be age specific.
A typical camp will be limited in numbers to ensure proper instruction and attention. Our goal for a player-to-coach ratio is 6:1 but will not exceed 8:1.
WHAT TO BRING
All campers need to bring athletic shoes, kneepads, and all other equipment they would need to compete in a game.
